General Questions

  • A direct care dermatologist offers transparent, upfront pricing without involving insurance companies. At Modern Dermatology in South Tampa, this means no surprise bills, no referral requirements, and more personalized care.

  • We do not participate with insurance plans. However, we provide a superbill you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan allows (Medicare excluded).

  • Yes. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can be used for medical dermatology services.

  • Often, no. Many patients with high deductibles find that our transparent fees are more affordable than in-network costs.

  • Yes. You do not need to be a member or have a referral — anyone is welcome to book an appointment at Modern Dermatology.

  • Yes. Telehealth visits are available for certain dermatologic conditions at a rate of $150 per visit.

  • Yes. In-home visits are available in South Tampa starting at $295, depending on the appointment type.

Medical Dermatology

  • Yes. We provide full-body skin exams, mole checks, and biopsies for skin cancer detection.

  • Absolutely. We treat both teen and adult acne with personalized treatment plans, including prescription medications, procedures, and skincare recommendations.

  • Yes. We perform minor surgical procedures to remove moles, cysts, skin tags, and other skin lesions, either medically or cosmetically.

  • A full office visit for skin exams or medical concerns is $175.

  • Yes. We provide personalized management plans for eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and other chronic skin conditions.

Cosmetic Dermatology

  • Yes. Dr. Grob provides cosmetic dermatology including Botox®, Dysport®, fillers, microneedling, and skin rejuvenation.

  • Cosmetic consultations are $150, which is applied toward treatment if performed the same day.

  • Yes. We offer treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, and personalized skincare recommendations.

  • Yes. Cosmetic mole or skin tag removal is available, typically ranging from $150–$350, depending on size and location.

  • No. Cosmetic dermatology is not covered by insurance, but all pricing is transparent and discussed prior to treatment.

Billing & Pricing

  • Payment is due at the time of service.
